The break in the rain is here, through Thursday, as we have highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s and lows near freezing. Winds will also relax, as the coast will be breezy at times.

Changes are expected to arrive heading into Friday as a coastal low will bring mostly rain to the area. However, counties along I-95 and those to the west/north could see a brief wintry mix to start, then change to all rain after 10 AM. Most of the rain is expected to fall from sunrise to sunset as 1-2″ with higher amounts along the coast. Most of the wintry weather will not accumulate, but don’t expect any issues, as most of the snow/ice will be west of I-95 and into Virginia. Those who see wintry weather could see a light re-freeze Saturday morning, but that will be isolated in spots.
