FREELAND, Pa. — Police have charged a man in connection with a shooting that left one teenager dead and another injured in Luzerne County.
According to authorities, an 18-year-old and a 15-year-old were shot outside of a business in Freeland around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The 18-year-old later died at a hospital, while the 15-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Now, police have charged Edgar Polanco, 24, of Hazleton, with conspiracy to commit criminal homicide.
Polanco is locked up in Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
What led to the shooting is still unclear; however, police say the investigation into the deadly shooting remains ongoing.
