A 36-year-old man died Monday after he was shot early Friday morning in East Liberty, officials say.
The medical examiner’s office identified the man as Bryon Lewis, who was shot in the chest and died in the hospital Monday.
Crews were dispatched to the 400 block of Omega Court in East Liberty at 1 a.m. Friday for a report of a man with a gunshot wound, according to Pittsburgh Public Safety.
At the scene, authorities said they found an unresponsive man, later identified as Mr. Lewis, with a gunshot in his chest. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Officials believe the shooting took place inside a residence after an altercation.
No arrests had been made, and no suspects were identified. The investigation remains ongoing.
