BOARDMAN The Value City Furniture store on Boardman-Poland Road remains open for business and was excluded from an initial list of closures released after its parent company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.

American Signature, Inc., based in Columbus, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 22, 2025. While the company has identified several locations for immediate liquidation, the Boardman store at 443 Boardman-Poland Road is continuing normal operations.

According to court filings and company announcements, the furniture retailer is streamlining operations due to liquidity challenges and a decline in sales. While the Boardman location is not currently affected, the company released a list of 33 stores initiating closing sales.
