New LSU head coach Lane Kiffin’s former players at Ole Miss seem to disagree with their ex-coach’s recollection of his final meeting with the team.

While Kiffin, 50, said in a statement released Sunday, November 30 that Rebels players wanted him to keep coaching the team through the upcoming College Football Playoff, multiple team members have come forward to dispute that on social media.

“‘Despite the team asking me to keep coaching,’” Ole Miss offensive lineman Brycen Sanders wrote via X on Tuesday, December 2, quoting the statement Kiffin sent two days before. “I think everyone that was in that room would disagree.”

Lineman Jayden Williams quoted Sanders’ post in agreement.
