When the Minnesota Vikings brought home franchise icon Adam Thielen just ahead of the 2025 NFL season, they thought he’d be both a good story and a stable receiving option for JJ McCarthy.

But Thielen’s second Minnesota tenure ended after just eight catches for 69 yards in 11 games and with a granted request to compete elsewhere in his final season. The 35 year old with 12 seasons of professional experience is now heading to Pittsburgh , where the Steelers are tied at 6-6 with the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North.
