CHAMPION, Pennsylvania – Seven Springs , the largest ski resort in Pennsylvania, will open for the season on Saturday.
The resort’s opening day celebration includes a first-chair banner break, prizes for first riders, a DJ, cookies, cocoa and more.
Seven Springs will be open starting at 8 a.m. with limited terrain and early season conditions, according to the resort.
About three hours southeast of Cleveland, Seven Springs reports a total snowfall of 7 inches in recent days with cold temperatures allowing for additional snowmaking.
Seven Springs, purchased by Vail Resorts in 2021, is part of the Epic Pass system.
Vail also owns Northeast Ohio resorts Brandywine, Boston Mills and Alpine Valley .
