KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Going into Thursday’s matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys, the most-watched NFL regular-season game was a Thanksgiving Day game between the Cowboys and New York Giants in 2022.
That game three years ago had 42.059 million viewers, according to CBS Sports.

On Nov. 27, 2025, the Chiefs-Cowboys bout shattered that record. By 36%. CBS Sports reported that the game had 57.230 million viewers, making it the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history.
