JENNINGS, La. (KPLC) - Louisiana State Police Troop D is now partnering with Crime Stoppers Lake Charles to offer a reward for information that advances their investigation in the case of a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a Jennings woman in August.

The investigation into the incident began on August 27, 2025 , after the body of 53-year-old Bonnie Fontenot of Jennings was discovered to have been struck and killed on I-10 North Frontage Road just east of U.S. Highway 165 in Jefferson Davis Parish. Fontenot had been reported missing and had last been seen on the night of Aug. 22.

Investigators believe the suspect’s vehicle is an older model 1997 - 2004 Ford F-150 painted in Pacific Green Metallic (turquoise green). It is believed that the vehicle may frequent the Jefferson Dav
