Tales of the mighty St. Lawrence River will be running through an intimate gathering place at a Pitt Street restaurant this winter.
Three out of four speakers will give presentations that historically connect the local communities to the river: John Sliter on Dec. 10, Jim Brownell on Feb. 17, 2026, and the following month, Don Smith, on March 10.

This trio, and Thom Racine, comprise this season’s SDG Historical Society Winter Speaker Series, held in the backroom of Schnitzel’s Restaurant. Racine will give an overview of Cornwall’s sporting history on Jan. 20.
