Maynard James Keenan and Puscifer have revealed playlists of what they listened to while making their forthcoming album Normal Isn’t , which arrives February 6th.
On the group’s Instagram , each band member shared their personal playlist of the music they were consuming during the writing and recording process.

Having previously described the new LP as “goth meets punk,” Maynard’s 80-song playlist is not surprisingly heavy on ’80s goth and new wave acts: The Cure, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Einstürzende Neubauten, Killing Joke… you get the picture. One can easily trace a line from these songs to the sound of Puscifer’s latest singles “Self Evident” and “Pendulum,” with the latter seeing Maynard go full goth . Related Video
