KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Chiefs rookie left tackle Josh Simmons will miss an extended period of time again this season.
Head coach Andy Reid announced Wednesday that the Chiefs’ first-round pick is being placed on injured reserve due to a wrist injury suffered in Kansas City’s Week 13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Simmons suffered a dislocated and fractured left wrist during the third quarter of the game.
After being placed on injured reserve, Simmons won’t be eligible to return until at least Week 18, if he is able to. Reid said the injury was not necessarily season-ending when asked Wednesday to clarify.
Simmons missed four games in October and early November due to a personal matter. He missed games against the Detroit Lions, Las Vegas
