ATLANTA — Georgia Tech football coach Brent Key will be staying with the school after agreeing to a contract extension on Wednesday.

The deal, approved by the Georgia Tech Athletic Association Board of Trustees, keeps Key on campus through 2030.

Despite a loss to rival Georgia last weekend, the Yellow Jackets had one of their best seasons in years, compiling a 9-3 regular-season record (6-2 in ACC play). The nine-win regular season is Tech's first since 2014 and only the 16th in the program's 133-season history.
