Virat Kohli scored 102 runs from 93 balls for India in the second ODI against South Africa on Wednesday (December 3), but despite his super show with the bat, India suffered a humiliating defeat in Raipur. The four-wicket defeat against the Temba Bavuma-led side at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium is the first international match in 2462 days that India have lost in which Kohli scored a century. The last international fixture in which Kohli crossed the 100-run mark and India suffered a defeat was played on March 8, 2019 in Ranchi against Australia, which interestingly was also MS Dhoni’s last international match in India.
