Add highly respected draft analyst Dane Brugler of The Athletic to the list of those dropping an NFL mock draft this week.

Brugler’s take will roil the tummies of Cleveland Browns fans as he qualifies them as “quarterback desperate” and therefore sees them doing whatever necessary to acquire a franchise signal caller.

In an ideal world, Shedeur Sanders, who is currently getting a prolonged look at the position , would show flashes of brilliance to stake his claim to the job. That way the first-round draft picks the Browns own in 2026 – their own and the one acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars – could be used to fill significant needs elsewhere.
