Sonos has released new updates on December 3 for both its mobile app and its speaker firmware, bringing fresh improvements for iOS and Android users along with important system fixes.

The latest Sonos app versions are 80.34.40 on Android and 80.34.37 on iOS. A Sonos employee explained on Reddit that the rollout is happening in phases, so the update may not appear immediately in every app store.

On Android, this update adds new music library controls. Users can now group albums by Compilations or Album Artist, or leave them ungrouped. Folder browsing also gets more flexibility with new sorting options by song name, song number, or file name.

No new features were listed for iOS, but the app version was updated as part of the same release.

Sonos also pushed a new system update, version 92
