House Democrats on Wednesday revealed new photos and videos from Jeffrey Epstein 's private island in the U.S. Virgin Islands , and revealed that two major banks have handed over records related to the notorious sex offender.

The tranche of images was shared by the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Justice in response to a request from the House Oversight Committee, the panel's Democratic minority said in a press release .

They also received records from JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank related to Epstein, the wealthy and well-connected financier who killed himself in jail in 2019 while facing federal sex trafficking charges.
