MINNEAPOLIS — Kendall Coyne-Schofield reputation is the "fastest woman in hockey." Speed is her superpower.
So it's little surprise the Minnesota Frost captain is making a bid to return to the Olympic games in Milan-Cortina with the U.S. Women's Hockey team.
"So excited. Obviously, we have a process to get there," Coyne-Schofield explained in an interview with KARE 11's Julia Daniels. "We have a great group of 30 players right now that ultimately we have to get down to 23."
Coyne-Schofield already has three medals from three previous Olympic games with Team USA. The preparations for this year's games are a little different, however, now that many players are in the PWHL.
"It's definitely closing the gap of women's hockey around the world, which is exactly what we want to see," she said
