A Met Office weather map is showing exactly where and when snow is set to fall in the North East, with residents of some regional areas expecting the return of wintry weather at around 6pm on Friday evening, with previous bouts of snow in the middle of November.

Looking at the map, the affected North East area will be in County Durham , with Stanhope most notably set to receive snowfall. The largest amount of snow is set for a small area between the market town and Consett and Hexham , according to the latest predictions.
