As Boston Legacy FC prepare for their inaugural season in the NWSL, they announced the signing of midfielder Sophia Lowenberg on Wednesday. Lowenberg signed a two-year deal with the Legacy, with a club option to renew for one year.
The Connecticut native played four years at Boston College as a midfielder and defender, where she scored seven goals to go along with two assists. The 2025 season was her highest scoring campaign, with three.
As a result of her roots in the northeast, Lowenberg is grateful to be staying close to home.
