A few changes were made at the 11th hour as the classification and districting committee of the Oregon School Activities Association has created its final recommendation for the 2026-30 time block.
The biggest notable change comes among the state’s biggest schools, with the end of one of the two hybrid districts that was created. The 6A-5A Midwestern Hybrid League remains, but the 6A-5A Southwest Hybrid League is no more. The Class 6A schools (Grants Pass, North Medford, Roseburg and South Medford) have been moved to a four-school Southern Oregon Conference while the 5A schools (Ashland, Crater and Eagle Point) have been moved into the Southern Cascade Conference.
Also in the Southern Cascade Conference will be Henley, which is being moved up to 5A after the committee moved the bottom
