Netflix is once again reconfiguring its video-game business strategy by selling Spry Fox , the developer behind “Cozy Grove” and the upcoming “Spirit Crossing,” back to the studio’s founders.
Variety has confirmed that Spry Fox, which Netflix acquired in 2022, will spin out and once again become an independent studio that is now owned and operated by original founders Daniel Cook and David Edery. While Netflix will continue to be the publisher for the mobile version of “Spirit Crossing” when it releases next year, the game is now set to be published across multiple platforms.
