U.S. Sens. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) and Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) reacted on Tuesday to the Public Service Commission’s approval of a two-year rate freeze proposed by Alabama Power.
The commission approved the rate freeze at a meeting in Montgomery on Tuesday.
“You know, I’m glad to see Alabama Power freezing rates for two years through 2027. You know we have an abundance of riches in Alabama when it comes to energy, including coal, natural gas, hydro, and nuclear power plants,” Tuberville said in a statement.
