CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — This Friday downtown Clarksburg will come alive with lights and celebration during Winterfest.

Winterfest spans Friday night night through Saturday evening, and will include a Christmas parade, a holiday market at Jackson Square, food trucks, Christmas Caroling performances by local school choirs community groups and more.

The event is planned and coordinated by multiple local groups, including the First Fridays planning committee, the Progressive Women's Association (PWA), and the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival committee (WVIHF).

"So basically we work side-by-side with Winterfest," said Mike Spatafore, First Fridays committee chair.
