The annual Barrington Tree Lighting will be held outside the town hall on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The festivities kick off at 2 p.m. — people can visit Santa’s Village in the parking lot outside the Tap-In headquarters at the Peck Center building. There will be local vendors and free hot chocolate, and people can drop off donations to Tap-In.

People are invited to walk over to Barrington Town Hall at 4 p.m., where they will be able to enjoy performances by local choirs and community groups. The fun concludes at 5:15 p.m., with the tree-lighting ceremony.

Meanwhile, Barrington is again supporting the Toys for Tots program — residents are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys at the town hall, public library, senior center or public safety building. Students are welcome to drop off gifts at
