Giannis Antetokounmpo is taking a possible first step toward leaving the only franchise he’s ever known.
Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have begun discussions on whether his future lies in Milwaukee, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday.
A resolution is expected in the coming weeks, per Charania.
The New York Knicks are the only team in which Antetokounmpo has thus far expressed interest, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
Antetokounmpo, the two-time MVP, is enjoying a typically productive season with per-game averages of 30.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists.
