A significant outage affecting the social media platform X has left thousands of users in the UK unable to connect. Reports of the disruption surged around 9pm this evening, with Downdetector recording 6,375 cases of connection issues.

The majority of complaints, approximately 60%, relate to problems with the mobile app. In contrast, 36% of users reported issues with the website, while only 4% indicated server connection problems.

Frustration among users is palpable, with many taking to other platforms to express their discontent. One user lamented, "Come On Twitter Hurry Up!" while another simply stated, "Twitter's Down Again!"

The outage appears to be widespread, with reports coming in from various cities across the UK. A map from Downdetector shows that the highest concentration of issues is in London, followed by Birmingham and Manchester.

As the situation develops, users are left waiting for a resolution to the connectivity problems affecting their access to X.
