Four people were killed and 13 others were injured when gunfire erupted at a 2-year-old’s birthday party in Stockton, according to families and school officials. Relatives identified the victims as 14-year-old Amari Peterson; 8-year-old Maya Lupian, a student at Aspire APEX Academy; 8-year-old Journey Rose Reotutar Guerrero of Commodore Stockton Skills School; and 21-year-old Susano Archuleta. Families described the children as active, creative and kind, and said Peterson was known for his gentle nature and love of sports. San Joaquin County officials have not released a motive or suspect information.
