James Franklin’s poaching of former Penn State commits continued into the start of the early national signing period on Wednesday.
Four-star linebacker Terry Wiggins, committed to the Nittany Lions since May 2, flipped to Franklin’s Virginia Tech Hokies on Wednesday . He joined nine other one-time Penn State pledges who have followed Franklin to Blacksburg.
From Coatesville Area High School in Pennsylvania, Wiggins is the 2026 cycle’s No. 189 player overall. The No. 11 linebacker stands 6-3 and 210 pounds.
After Franklin was fired from Penn State on Oct. 12, Wiggins took visits to West Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado and Virginia Tech before making his signing day choice.
