Lego and FIFA teamed up this week to announce a collaboration that will bring the iconic World Cup trophy to households in all its golden glory.
Lego announced the new collaboration on Wednesday, Dec. 3, saying fans will see the release of a life-size FIFA World Cup trophy made out of more than 2,800 bricks.
"The FIFA World Cup Trophy stands as a universal symbol of achievement and unity, and now, through the creativity of the LEGO brick, fans everywhere can experience the excitement of it - piece by piece - in true LEGO style," Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer at the LEGO Group, said in a statement.
In addition to the life-size replica, the set will also feature a hidden surprise: a compartment inside the globe at the top of the trophy. The compartment opens to reveal both the 2026 FIFA World Cup logo and a Lego figure holding a mini trophy.
The collaboration comes less than a year before the United States, Mexico and Canada host the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where the current champions, Argentina, hope to become the first back-to-back winners since Brazil did it almost 70 years ago.
Lego is now taking pre-orders, which ship in March 2026. The World Cup Lego set costs $199.99.
