A Lucas County Grand Jury has indicted a Toledo doctor on six felonies stemming from allegations that he forced abortion pills on a woman he impregnated.
Dr. Hassan-James Abbas, 32, was indicted Wednesday on felony charges of abduction, unlawful distribution of an abortion-inducing drug, disrupting public services, deception to obtain a dangerous drug, identity fraud, and tampering with evidence.
In November a state licensing board has suspended Dr. Abbas’ license as they investigated the claims that had been made against him by the woman.
