Two Central football players put pen to paper on Wednesday for Early National Signing Da y.

JaMichael Garrett, a three-star linebacker, signed with Ole Miss. Offensive lineman Graham Harris signed with Northwestern State.

'That's my guy'

Garrett's initial reaction to finally getting to sign was relief. He said he's been recruited since his freshman year of high school.

"It's been good to find a program that loves me, and I love them," Garrett said about Ole Miss. "We've got good coaches and a good community."

Garrett said newly-appointed Rebels head football coach Pete Golding played a key role in his recruitment process. Ole Miss was his fourth offer that he received.

"Ever since then, he just constantly recruited me," Garrett said. "He just made me feel like I was at home."
