The UK could see a blitz of cold and snowy weather in a matter of days as a frosty front moves across the country from the west. Weather maps generated by WXCharts show snow beginning to fall across a stretch of the country's northwest coast early on the morning of December 12. Scotland and Northern Ireland will be the first spots hit by the barrage of wintry weather, with drifts of up to 2mm falling per hour in Ayrshire and Londonderry at around 6am.
