The Penn State football team may not have a head coach, but it has a star quarterback who might be the centerpiece of the program’s future.

The roller coaster ride of Peyton Falzone’s recruiting process ended Wednesday with him signing a letter of intent to continue his career with the Nittany Lions after committing to Penn State in April and decommitting in June and later committing to Auburn.

The two-year recruiting journey has had plenty of plot twists caused in part by all of the changes in college football.

Falzone, who had committed to Virginia Tech back in 2024 and de-committed in early 2025, reportedly de-committed from Auburn earlier this week, and a signing ceremony initially announced for 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday was postponed on Tuesday and rescheduled earlier Wednesday for 3
