A viral houseboat that's caught the attention of thousands on social media is now paused at the tip of Michigan's Thumb, and the boat's operator may be reevaluating the rest of his journey, said Huron County Sheriff Kelly Hanson on Wednesday.

The houseboat, which some have dubbed "Hillbilly Houseboat," has navigated the waters of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron this fall, fascinating many with its every move. Some have shared pictures on social media. The structure resembles a simple home sitting on a wooden raft with blue barrels.
