Johnson had offers from a who’s who of Power Four programs. The Virginia native took official visits to Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina and Penn State before finally making it to Ann Arbor in June. A week later, he finished his official visits with a trip to Chapel Hill, and on July 4, he made his decision official by committing to Michigan over Penn State, South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
