The holiday spirit takes hold this weekend as the town of Lyons gets festive with a tree lighting ceremony, artisan market and parade.
On Friday, the holiday weekend begins with a tree lighting celebration at the intersection of Railroad and Fourth avenues. Caroling starts at 5 p.m., followed by a drone show at 5:30 p.m. After the show, town officials will unveil the new Lyons Mural Wall by local artist Android Jones. Free hot chocolate and treats will be served.
On Saturday, local artisans will sell art, jewelry, pottery and textiles at the town’s annual holiday market. The market will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lyons Elementary School, 338 High St. At 6:30 p.m., the Lyons Parade of Lights will bring floats, music and a second drone show to Main Street.
