A California man was fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Watertown.The crash occurred at 6:32 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025. Preliminary crash information indicates the driver of a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling west on 20 th Avenue SE near S. Broadway Street when the vehicle allegedly crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound Peterbilt semi, the South Dakota Highway Patrol stated in a release.The driver of the Ram was pronounced dead at the location, the highway patrol release stated. The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

The driver of the Dodge Ram is a 29-year-old male from Oceanside, California. The 54-year-old driver of the 2006 Peterbilt Conventional 379 is a man from Watertown.
