You should expect your ride to look a bit different if you’re planning on taking GO Transit to or from Toronto this weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, there will be no GO train service east of Aldershot GO Station as Metrolinx does construction along the Lakeshore West route.
Instead, travellers will need to hop on a bus at either Aldershot or West Harbour GO stations, which will take them up to Bramalea GO in Brampton. From there, people can either take the eastbound Kitchener Line train to Union Station or a replacement bus to the Burlington, Oakville or Clarkson GO stations.
The buses from Hamilton will depart every hour, starting at 6:13 a.m., and the ride will take about 45 minutes to Bramalea. Trains to and from Bramalea depart every half-hour.
