The Great Falls City Commission voted 4-1 on Tuesday to approve a new manufactured home community.

The proposed IX Blessings Mobile Home Park would bring 152 manufactured home lots to a 25-acre site near Seventh Avenue North and 42nd Street North, just south of Morningside Elementary School.

"First and foremost, because we have a housing crisis in Great Falls in the state, and we need more housing stock, whether that's manufactured homes, single family homes, apartments," Commisioner Rick Tryon said. "We need all of the above. And so that was the main reason."
