James Bond bosses are reportedly eyeing up Oasis to record the theme song for their next film.
Amazon MGM, who recently took over the Bond franchise, has put Noel and Liam Gallagher at the top of its wishlist for the track, the Sun newspaper reports.
A source told the outlet, "The 007 films are one of the great British franchises. And who better to record the theme song than one of the greatest ever British bands? Liam's swagger and Noel's anthemic music would be perfect to soundtrack the new film."
Noel is known to be a big fan of the films and has previously said he has even written songs with them in mind.
"It's a p**s-take that the greatest British agent of all time has to be soundtracked by a bunch of f**king Americans," he told NME, referring to the Quantum of Solace theme, Another Way To Die by Alicia Keys and Jack White.
"I've written a couple of Bond theme tunes. They haven't got very Bond-esque titles, so I would have to tailor the title accordingly."
The latest Bond film is currently in development, directed by Dune's Denis Villeneuve.
In August, it was announced that British screenwriter Steven Knight, best known as the creator of BBC crime drama Peaky Blinders, was on board to write the film.
Steven told BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast: "It has always been on my bucket list and it's fantastic to be invited to do it - I can't wait to get started.
"I'm hoping that, being a Bond fan for so many years, it will be imbued into me and I will be able to produce something that's the same but different, and better, stronger and bolder."
