SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The warmest temperatures on Wednesday occurred a couple of hours before most of us woke up. After that, a cold front took over, and temperatures (as well as wind chills) got much colder.

Skies will become mostly clear tonight, and we can’t rule out some for in far southeastern Siouxland as lows will be in the single digits below zero to the east and the single digits above zero to the west with just a light and variable wind. Sioux City’s record low for Thursday morning is –9 degrees set in 1978 and we could even come close to that.
