OMAHA, Neb. —

Multiple Omaha police officers were injured in a shooting at a gas station.

Police said the incident was related to a shooting that injured one person at a north Omaha grocery store.

According to the Omaha Police Department, officers tracked down the suspect to a QuikTrip near 33rd and L streets.

Chief Todd Schmaderer said when the suspect came out of the bathroom, he fired at officers, who then returned fire.

Two officers were shot and one was hit by shrapnel. Their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.

Schmaderer said the suspect was killed in the incident.

Following the incident, Nebraska leaders flooded social media with their reactions to the shooting.
