Oregon State football is making a major, playmaking addition to its 2026 recruiting class.

Former Ole Miss commit and three-star wide receiver Jameson Powell announced his signing with the Beavers on Wednesday. It came on an eventful first day of a three-day early national signing period.

Powell decommitted from the Rebels on Dec. 1 following the departure of head coach Lane Kiffin to LSU, and a late push from new OSU coach JaMarcus Shephard and the Beavers got his signing over the finish line. He plays for Folsom High School outside of Sacramento.

Powell is the No. 13 wide receiver and No. 54 overall player in California according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. At 5-11, 170 pounds, he is described as a “dynamic slot receiver who has been putting up big numbers since his sophomore
