LEXINGTON, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky officials broke ground Wednesday on the new Railyard development on Delaware Avenue in Lexington, a project that will add more than 30 new apartments, including 12 affordable one-bedroom units.
Plans also include two ground-floor commercial spaces designated for local businesses.
Lt. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman highlighted the project’s impact, noting it will bring meaningful opportunities for families in the area.
The development will also feature improved sidewalks, upgraded lighting, and new bike facilities designed to better connect the neighborhood to surrounding communities.
