MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis City Council member Jamal Osman is inviting President Donald Trump to the city to better understand the Somali community.

Osman made the invitation during a press conference held on Wednesday, the same day federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security and ICE are reportedly in the city.

Trump has become increasingly focused in recent weeks on Somalis living in the U.S., the AP reports, saying they “have caused a lot of trouble" and that he doesn't "want them in our country." Responding to a reporter on Wednesday , President Trump said Somali's "have destroyed Minnesota."
