Josiah Sanders writes right-handed. He throws right-handed. Yet when it comes to basketball, Sanders is strictly left-handed.
At least that’s what Sanders wants opposing defenses to believe.
This week offers a new hurdle for the productive freshmen for the Colorado men’s basketball team, and particularly so for Sanders. Already displaying an above-par ability to finish with both hands, Sanders, a Colorado native, gets his first taste of the Buffaloes’ heated rivalry with Colorado State when they visit the Rams on Saturday (3 p.m., CBS Sports Network).
Sanders’ father, Joseph, is the reason Josiah is right-handed in all aspects of his life except basketball. His father also spent two years at Colorado State, and so the rivalry matchup hits home.
