It conveys a mixture of weariness, exasperation and boredom, all of which are terribly inappropriate emotions to evince on this topic in the federal political universe. Foliticians must always speak of French in Quebec as being on the brink of Acadian-style annihilation, unless they want an entire brigade of nationalist politicians and pundits climbing down their shirts.
