While it’s a considerably smaller hike than city officials originally proposed, the average Calgary homeowner can expect to pay another $4.50 monthly on their property taxes in 2026.

After eight days and more than 80 hours of deliberations that began Nov. 24 , city council voted 12-3 in support of its 2026 budget Wednesday afternoon.
