SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - More cloudy, damp and chilly weather ahead for the ArkLaTex over the next few days.

Heading into this evening, rain will quickly overspread the region from the southwest and then continue throughout the night. It will be a chilly too rain with overnight temperatures in the low 40s.

Thursday is going to be a miserable day with a cold rain continuing throughout the day. Temperatures will remain in the mid 40s all afternoon and with a northeast wind at 10-20 mph, it will make it feel like the 30s.

Some rain could linger across far southern sections of the ArkLaTex through Friday but most of the region will start to dry out by the end of the week. Clouds will be very stubborn and this will keep temperatures chilly with highs Friday again in the 40s.
